Colorado's six holiday scratch-offs pay the same as every other ticket at their price, so the top prizes decide

The Colorado Lottery's six holiday scratch-offs go on sale Monday, October 19, one each at $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, and $20. Colorado does something most states don't. It lists a single payout percentage for all of its games at a given price, so a new $20 ticket returns 74.5% of sales just like the 15 other $20 tickets on sale. What changes from game to game is how that money is split between big and small prizes.

Reindeer Riches ($1)

Colorado's fixed payouts trail the national average at each of these prices, from about half a point at $20 to 3.4 points at $2. Non-winning tickets can be entered in the lottery's monthly bonus drawings. Colorado's summer launches and the rest of its games are on the Colorado scratch-offs page.
