A Fort Washington man won $50,000 on a Maryland scratch-off, 11 years after winning the same amount on a different game.
"Yeah, I was surprised. And the guy in the store was surprised he sold me one that big," he said when he claimed the prize at lottery headquarters in Baltimore on August 5.
The win came on the $5 Multiply Your Money ticket, bought at Brother Liquors at 12788-B Old Fort Road in Fort Washington. The store receives a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. His prize was the third of the game's seven $50,000 top prizes, and our data shows the other four still unclaimed. The game has been on sale since mid-June with overall odds of 1 in 3.88.
His first $50,000 came in July 2015 on a Diamonds and Dollars scratch-off, and he told Maryland lottery that he still has some of the winnings: part went to a new car, the rest has sat in the bank since.
