Gold Rush Tripler$5$500,0001 in 4.1870.3%63.3

Each of the four now rates highest, or close to it, at its respective price, largely because none of their big prizes have been claimed yet. That edge fades as the top prizes go.

At 98.5, this is now the top-rated game of the 109 scratch-offs that Michigan sells. Each ticket carries 50 chances to win, and the lottery printed about 7.8 million of them, which works out to roughly $389 million in sales. The three $6 million prizes put the top-prize odds near 1 in 2.6 million. The lottery says the game holds more than $290 million in prizes, and more than $230 million of that sits in prizes from $100 to $900.

The smallest prize is $50, the free ticket tier, and it accounts for about a third of all winners. About 1 ticket in 97 pays $500 or more. The 80.6% payout matches the average for Michigan's $50 games.

Wild $10 ($10)

Wild $10 now leads Michigan's 27 active $10 games at 83.0. Its prize table has an unusual shape. Below the three $1 million top prizes, nothing pays more than $600, so every winning ticket except the top three can be cashed at a store now that Michigan retailers pay up to $999.99. The run is about 6 million tickets, putting the odds of $1 million near 1 in 2 million. About 40% of winners get their $10 back.

Mystery Box Multiplier Cashword ($5)

The two new $5 tickets rank first and second among Michigan's 31 active $5 games, and they pay back almost the same, 70.1% here against 70.3% for Gold Rush Tripler. The difference is in how. This crossword game wins more often, 1 in 3.67, and it is the bigger print run, about 10.2 million tickets. Its top prize is $300,000, three of them, so the odds of hitting one are about 1 in 3.4 million.

Gold Rush Tripler ($5)

Gold Rush Tripler goes the other way. Its overall odds are longer, 1 in 4.18, and 43.5% of its winners simply get the $5 back, against 38.9% for Mystery Box. In exchange, the three top prizes are $500,000 each, in a smaller run of about 6.3 million tickets, for odds near 1 in 2.1 million.

The rest of the state's recent releases are on the new Michigan scratch-offs page, the four games from September 1 are covered separately, and each active game is ranked on the Michigan ValueScore™ list.
