Texas runs a fiscal year ending August 31, unlike the June 30 year most states use. Scratch-ticket sales are published only in the lottery's year-end sales summary, which is marked unaudited; the audited statements break out no scratch line, so both documents are cited. The transfer column is the Foundation School Fund transfer alone, on an accrual basis. Texas also transfers smaller sums to veterans' assistance and two other accounts, so this is the education transfer rather than every transfer.
