Augusta's $1 million 50X The Money ticket is the game's second top prize in a week

A Georgia Lottery player won a $1 million top prize on a $10 50X The Money scratcher bought at Aggies, 3040 Meadowbrook Drive in Augusta, the lottery said Tuesday. The winner claimed the prize on October 5 and took the lump-sum cash option of $809,000. The lottery did not name the winner.
It is the second $1 million prize on the game announced in a week. On September 30 the lottery reported a top prize sold at a Shell in Flowery Branch, with the same $809,000 cash option.

50X The Money has been on sale since March 2018, and it is huge, about 131 million tickets with 54 top prizes of $1 million, one per 2.43 million tickets. Georgia Lottery data on October 7 still listed six of them unclaimed, the same count it showed a week earlier, so the Augusta ticket likely leaves five. About 93% of the tickets have sold. If five remain, a ticket bought now has about a 1 in 1.9 million chance at one, better than at launch. Nine of the game's 108 prizes of $100,000 are also left. It rates 53.3 on our ValueScore™, 16th among Georgia's 39 active $10 games.
The same release reported a second Augusta win. A resident playing online matched all five numbers in the October 5 Fantasy 5 drawing, 01, 05, 22, 36, and 42, for $378,035.
