A Georgia Lottery player won the $1 million top prize on a 50X The Money scratcher bought at Gaines Ferry Shell, 5976 Atlanta Highway, near the Atlanta Falcons training camp facility in Flowery Branch, the lottery announced on Wednesday, September 30. The winner claimed the prize on September 29 and took the lump-sum cash option of $809,000. The winner decided to stay anonymous.

The $10 game went on sale March 28, 2018, and has now run for more than eight years. It is also enormous. The lottery printed 131,115,510 tickets with 54 top prizes of $1 million, about one for every 2.43 million tickets.

The Flowery Branch ticket is the latest in a run of big wins on the lottery's "X The Money" family this month, after a $3 million 100X The Money prize in Hinesville and a $4 million 200X The Money prize in Athens. Georgia players claimed $38,802,422 in scratch-off winnings last week, the lottery said.
