Hinesville, Georgia produces its second $3 million scratch-off winner in 60 days, this time on a game that launched in 2018

A Liberty County player won $3 million on a $20 scratch-off on Tuesday, September 15, according to a Georgia Lottery press release. The ticket was a 100X THE MONEY, sold at an EZ Trip on Olmstead Drive in Hinesville, Georgia.

It is the second $3 million scratch-off prize to come out of Hinesville in 60 days. On July 17 a player claimed a $3,000,000 top prize on the $30 GRANT scratcher bought at a Parker’s on Old Sunbury Road in Hinesville.

The game launched in 2018 and is down to its last two $3 million prizes
100X THE MONEY went on sale on October 29, 2018. Almost eight years later it is the oldest $20 ticket still sold by the Georgia Lottery, and 43 of the state's 200 active games have now been selling for more than five years.
It was printed with 21 top prizes of $3 million. Tuesday’s claim leaves two top $3 million prizes remaining, with about 89.8% of the print run sold. When we covered the Thomaston player who hit the same prize on August 7, three were still out there.

A payout of 79.3% is strong for a scratch-off and the overall odds are good, so the ValueScore™ of 59.5 comes down almost entirely to available inventory. Our score marks a game down once the prizes players are buying it for have been collected, and this one has handed out 19 of its 21 top prizes. It sits 13th of the 20 active $20 games in Georgia.
No active American scratch-off carries more $3 million prizes
Among the 164 active US scratch-offs with top prizes at $3 million or more and publish a full prize table, none was printed with more prizes at that level than this one. The next-closest games have eight top prizes.

Twenty-one prizes at $3 million put $63 million into a top tier, the fifth-largest of any active US game we track. The four above it are $40 and $50 tickets.
What replaces it is already on shelves. 100Xtra, a $20 ticket launched on July 21, carries three $2 million top prizes with all three unclaimed and under 20% of the run sold. It rates 90.0, the best game in the state, and we walked through how it plays at launch. The names get confusing fast, so we mapped out the 12 different ways a game called 100X pays.
Anyone holding an unscratched 100X THE MONEY still has a shot at one of the last two $3 million prizes. Current rankings for the state are on our best value list, and the $20 budget breakdown covers what else is worth the money in Georgia right now.
