A Gulfport man claimed a $1 million top prize on the Mississippi Lottery's $30 Millionaire Maker scratch-off in Flowood on Tuesday, September 8, the lottery said.

He bought the $30 ticket on September 7 at a Shell in Long Beach, on a regular run where he purchases his favorite draw game numbers and one scratch-off. He had already won smaller prizes on Millionaire Maker and that kept him coming back to the game, and he told the lottery he rotates the stores he buys from. Win the prize money, he plans to purchase a new vehicle and save the rest.

His was the third of ten $1 million top prizes claimed since the game launched on January 6, 2026. Seven $1 million prizes are still out there.

About 27.9% of the Millionaire Maker print run has sold, and the prizes claimed so far line up with that figure at nearly every level. Three of ten top prizes gone is 30%. The $500 tier is at 28.1%, and the $50 tier at 27.9%.
