A South Carolina player watched his wife scratch a $2 million winner and had to talk her out of believing the ticket was counterfeit.

"I jumped out of my chair," the Lowcountry man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. He said his wife suspected the 200X ticket was a fake, and he told her it was real and asked her to handle it carefully.

"It's fabulous," he said. "We can spend it on some on things we have been saving up for."

He bought the ticket at Yamuna Foodmart on N. Okatie Hwy. in Ridgeland. The store earned $20,000 in commissions on the claimed tickets, or 1% of the prize. The $2 million tier carries odds of 1 in 1,480,000 per ticket.

Just one $2 million prize left, and the game ends on November 4

200X printed six top prizes of $2 million, and this was the fifth to be claimed. One more $2 million prize is still out there, and the clock on it is short. South Carolina has 200X ending November 4, 2026, and 89.4% of the print run has already sold.

All six $100,000 prizes are gone, and the $50,000 tier is down to just two prizes left from 32.

Whether that last $2 million gets found depends on how much of the remaining 10.6% of the run sells in eight weeks.

The game is a weaker buy

200X returns 77% of sales as prizes with overall odds of 1 in 4.38, and those numbers were fixed when it was printed in January. What has changed is the inventory behind them. With 89.4% sold and one top prize left, 200X now rates 54.2 on our ValueScore™, near the bottom of the South Carolina shelf.
