Louisiana launched 3 new scratch-offs, with one game featuring the New Orleans Saints

The Louisiana Lottery put three new scratch-offs on sale August 17, 2026, all of them are cheap tickets priced between $1 and $3. 

Lucky 13 Crossword ($3)

Lucky 13 Crossword is the pick of the three. It rates 75.8 with a 60.9% payout percentage and odds of 1 in 3.74, and the top prize is $50,000 with seven unclaimed. That puts it fifth among the 39 active Louisiana games we score. Crossword tickets usually carry decent hit rates because the format hands out a lot of small wins, and this one collects 16.8 of a possible 20 points on win frequency.

Saints All Seasons ($2)

Saints All Seasons rates 54.2, returning 60.2% of sales with odds of 1 in 4.73 and a $20,000 top prize with eight left. It's a licensed game with the New Orleans Saints and it lands 13th of 39 in the state.

With the NFL season about to kick off, new NFL licensed games keep popping up. Texas put two NFL games on sale two days earlier, and the Cowboys ticket returns exactly the same 60.2% and rates 53.5, while the Houston Texans ticket returns 64.6% and rates 58.4.

Tic Tac Toad ($1)

Tic Tac Toad rates 46.8, the weakest of the batch and 21st of 39 in Louisiana. It pays back 58.2% of sales with odds of 1 in 4.62 and a $3,000 top prize with twelve unclaimed. Its expected-value component scores 0.0 out of a possible 50, which is the floor. A $1 ticket returning 58 cents on the dollar is ordinary for the price, and the score says so plainly.

The best ticket went on sale two weeks ago

Fire/Ice launched August 3, and it is one of the best scratch-offs in the country right now. The $20 ticket rates 98.4, fourth among the 2,827 active games we score across the United States, with a 74.4% payout percentage, overall odds of 1 in 3.20, and five $500,000 top prizes unclaimed. It takes the full 20 points on win frequency and 38.9 of 50 on expected value. About 5% of the run has sold, so the prize table is close to intact.

But you have to think about the price, a $20 ticket does not substitute for a $1 impulse buy at the counter, and plenty of people spending a dollar are not looking to spend twenty. Within the same budget, though, the ranking holds: Louisiana's cheap end returns 58 to 61 cents on the dollar across these three, and the state's $20 tickets return closer to 74.

Louisiana keeps a small rack by national standards, 39 active games against 193 in Georgia and 78 in Texas. A short list makes each launch matter more, since three new tickets are close to 8% of everything on sale, and it also means the good games are easier to find. Two of the state's top four are $20 tickets.
