New Jersey Just Launched 2 New Scratch-Offs, Led by a $10 Ruby 7's Rated 86

New Jersey put two new scratch-offs on sale on July 29, one at $10 and one at $5, and the more expensive of the pair is comfortably the better ticket. Here's each one with its price, top prize and ValueScore™, our 0 to 100 rating of what a ticket is really worth, current as of this writing on July 31, 2026.

Ruby 7's ($10)

Ruby 7's is the pick of the two. The $10 ticket carries a $500,000 top prize and rates 85.5, which puts it inside our Excellent range, with a 72.7% payout percentage and overall odds of 1 in 4.04. All three of its top prizes were unclaimed at launch.

Poker Nights ($5)

Poker Nights is the cheaper option, a $5 ticket with a $150,000 top prize. It rates 74.1, in our Good range, with a 70.6% payout percentage and odds of 1 in 4.30, and it launched with four top prizes rather than three.

Which one to buy

Ruby 7's wins on every measure that matters: a higher score, a better payout percentage, tighter odds and a prize more than three times the size. Poker Nights has one thing going for it, which is the extra top prize on the board, though a fourth chance at $150,000 doesn't make up an eleven-point gap in value.
