Monday's $687 million Powerball jackpot would rank 16th among the largest ever won

No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing, 4, 5, 15, 19, and 55, with Powerball 19, so the jackpot rises to an estimated $687 million, $294.7 million in cash, for Monday, October 26. If someone wins it, it would rank 16th among Powerball jackpots ever won, just behind the $687.8 million shared by tickets in Iowa and New York in October 2018.

Big jackpots have become much more common. Nine of the 15 have come since November 2022, including two over $1.7 billion in 2025 alone. Before 2022, only one Powerball jackpot had passed $1 billion, the $1.586 billion split three ways in January 2016. Most recently, an Illinois ticket won $1.04 billion on August 12. That reset the jackpot to $20 million and started the run that is still going.

California tickets won or shared five of the 15, including the record $2.04 billion. No other state appears more than once. Monday will be the 32nd drawing since the August reset, and this run reached $600 million faster than most since 2020. Saturday's drawing produced no $1 million winners, but 30 tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball for $50,000 or, with Power Play, $100,000. The odds of the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338 per ticket. What a winner would keep after taxes is in our state-by-state breakdown, and the Powerball analysis page updates the cash value after each drawing.
