No ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, but three came within the Powerball of it. The numbers were 1, 21, 44, 50, and 57, with Powerball 5 and a 2x Power Play. Two tickets that matched all five white balls and had Power Play won $2 million each, and a third without Power Play won $1 million.

The Ohio ticket was sold at Village Pantry in Russells Point, in Logan County, the Ohio Lottery said, and the numbers were a quick pick, WJW reported. The Pennsylvania ticket came from Dandy Mini Mart in Wyalusing Borough, Bradford County, which gets a $10,000 bonus for selling it, WBRE reported. The $1 million ticket was sold in New Jersey, but the New Jersey Lottery had not said where as of Thursday, WRNJ reported. Pennsylvania winners have a year from the drawing to claim.

A match of all five white balls normally pays $1 million. Power Play, a $1 add-on, doubles it to $2 million no matter which multiplier is drawn, so the Ohio and Pennsylvania players got the same amount the 2x would have paid anyway. Ten more tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball, six for $50,000 and four with Power Play for $100,000, according to the drawing's official results. On Monday, a Michigan ticket also matched five for $1 million.

The jackpot rolls to an estimated $674 million, $283.9 million in cash, for Saturday, October 24. It will be the 31st drawing since the jackpot reset to $20 million on August 15, a climb faster than most runs since 2020. The odds of matching five white balls are 1 in 11,688,054 and of the jackpot 1 in 292,201,338. The Powerball analysis page tracks what the cash option is worth after taxes.
