The highest-paying game isn't the best-rated one. Best Chance To Be A Millionaire returns the most over its print run, but four of its five $1 million prizes are gone. The top ValueScore™ now belongs to a brand-new game, the $10 X The Money, which went on sale in October with all four of its $200,000 prizes still out there. Fabulous Fortune, a $30 game that launched in April, is right behind at 85.7 with two $2 million prizes left, followed by Lucky 7 Tripler at 84.1, $250,000 CA$HWORD 2nd Edition at 83.5, and the $10 $100,000 CA$HWORD 2nd Edition at 82.1, with 19 of its 21 top prizes left.
| Price | Games | Average payout |
|---|---|---|
| $1 | 5 | 63.1% |
| $2 | 6 | 63.1% |
| $3 | 9 | 66.7% |
| $5 | 10 | 68.6% |
| $10 | 9 | 69.9% |
| $20 | 6 | 74.1% |
| $30 | 6 | 75.9% |
| $50 | 1 | 81.1% |
Connecticut's $1 and $2 games average the same 63.1%, so the extra dollar buys a bigger top prize but no better return. From $3 up, payout climbs with price as it does almost everywhere.
Connecticut scratch tickets expire 180 calendar days after the official announced end of their game, according to the Connecticut Lottery. Draw game tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. Because the clock starts when a game ends, not when you bought the ticket, an old winner from a game still on sale has not expired yet. Deadlines in other states are compared in how long you have to claim a scratch-off prize, and Connecticut's top prizes remaining are tracked daily.
How we did this. Payout, prizes, remaining prizes, and ValueScore™ are Connecticut Lottery game data on October 10, 2026. Unclaimed prize money adds each prize level's value times its remaining count across all 52 active games. The claim rules are from the Connecticut Lottery's FAQ page.
