The Connecticut Lottery is asking players to hold on to their Lady Luck scratch-offs and check them again, after a scanning problem affected tickets scanned since October 16, FOX61 reported.

Tickets hit by the problem showed messages such as “see retailer,” and stores could see “invalid barcode,” the lottery said in a release. Those messages meant the system could not check the ticket because of an “internal processing error.” Players were told they could start rechecking tickets at 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 20. The lottery said it was not aware of any player who had been denied a prize, and it listed (860) 713-2700 for questions.

October 16 was also the last day Lady Luck was sold. The lottery's end-of-game notice says sales of the $5 game, No. 1869, ended that day, and every winning ticket, top prizes included, must be validated by April 15, 2027. All four of its $50,000 top prizes have been claimed. Connecticut Lottery data listed 6 of 16 prizes of $5,000, 19 of 52 prizes of $1,000, and 20 of 109 prizes of $500 as unclaimed on October 20, and some of those may be on tickets players already bought.

Over its run, Lady Luck returned 68.0% of sales as prizes, with overall odds of 1 in 4.00. Connecticut's best-paying games still on sale and its October launches are covered separately.
