The Louisiana Lottery put four new scratch-offs on sale Monday, October 12, priced from $1 to $5. All four lean on the same prize, a free replacement ticket. It turns up on roughly one play in 10. Figures are from the lottery's game pages, updated October 13, 2026.

The free tickets add up. On Neon 9s, 409,470 of them make it the most common prize on the game, ahead of 122,812 prizes of $2. Counted at face value, free tickets are worth 10 to 12 cents of every dollar spent on these games, which is why the lottery's published overall odds, from 1 in 3.91 to 1 in 4.9, look much better than the cash prizes alone would.
