With nine $1 million prizes in about 9.3 million tickets, the odds of a top prize are about 1 in 1.03 million. The ticket has five games, a $2,000 burst symbol, multipliers up to 10X, and four bonus spots. The lottery says the game holds more than $184 million in prizes. A prize of $500 or more turns up about once in 296 tickets, and the most common prize is $50.

It now rates 97.2 on our ValueScore™, #1 out of New Jersey's 59 active games, ahead of $1 Million Premier Ca$h. Part of that reflects the payout figure, 77.2%, which counts its smallest prize at $30. That prize is a free $30 ticket, and there are 695,106 of them. In cash, prizes come to 69.7% of sales. The lottery's own description puts it at about 74% of receipts after free tickets are taken out.

Jersey Legend is a game with an illustrated Jon Bon Jovi on it, and a guitar symbol on the ticket pays five times the prize shown beside it. It has three $200,000 top prizes in about 4.3 million tickets, odds of 1 in 1.44 million, and the lottery says it holds more than $12.9 million in prizes.

Its smallest prize is a free $5 ticket, 287,155 of them, and the most common is $10. Counting free tickets at $5, it returns 70.2%, a point above New Jersey's $5 average, and rates 64.8, third of the state's 20 active $5 games. In cash, prizes come to 63.5% of sales, close to the 68% the lottery cites once free tickets are netted out of receipts. Both games, along with the September 7's series, are listed on the new New Jersey scratch-offs page.
